Founded in 2010 by Saar Yogev and Naomi Levari, Black Sheep stemmed from their passion for filmmaking and years of proven experience in the film & TV industry.

With titles that have premiered at Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Toronto, and Series Mania, among others, Black Sheep quickly gained international recognition as a visionary and groundbreaking production company, winning numerous awards and handling ambitious co-productions.

The company specializes in character-driven feature films, creative documentaries, and drama series—productions that spotlight on the unheard and unseen.
Black Sheep fosters close collaboration with hand-picked creators and production partners, forming long-term relationships while meticulously delving into every aspect of the making process.

Most importantly, Black Sheep believes the journey should be joyful.

In 2018, Electric Sheep GmbH was founded in Berlin as a sister company to Black Sheep of Tel Aviv. VICTIM the company’s first cinematic release, premiered in Venice and was Slovakia's entry for the Oscars. In 2022 Electric Sheep won the prestigious Producers Award at the Hamburg Film Festival.

Saar is a graduate of Tel Aviv University's Department of Film & TV (BFA), class of 1998, and a 2013 EAVE alumnus, winning a scholarship for excellence. Starting his career as a Line Producer and a Unit Production Manager in large-scale co-productions, Saar gained recognition as a talented independent producer.
He was appointed Head Producer at JCS for two years before returning to independent production. Between 2005 and 2007, Saar was invited to produce the Jerusalem Film Festival. Following this, he was asked to return to JCS, this time as Head of Productions, where he was responsible for numerous TV productions.
In addition, from 2010 to 2015, Saar served as the head of the Entrepreneurial Producers program at the Sam Spiegel Film & TV School.

Saar is also a guest consultant at the Berlinale Co-production Market, Connecting Cottbus, and First Cut Lab.

Naomi Levari graduated summa cum laude from the Sam Spiegel Film & TV School as a director. Her diploma film, DRAFT, achieved substantial international success.
Initially working as a freelance director and content editor, Naomi's passion for storytelling and desire to explore new terrains led her to become an entrepreneur-producer. This transition prompted her to co-found Black Sheep Film Productions Ltd. Her work has earned Naomi international recognition as a "Producer to Follow" by the CNC, HFM, and the Israel Film Fund.

Naomi is renowned for her customized approach and engagement in every aspect of filmmaking, establishing herself as a sought-after mentor and lecturer. She collaborates with Canal+ Poland, Berlinale Script Station, EWA, First Cut Lab, Netflix Turkey, TFL, Full Circle Lab, the Berlinale Co-Production Market, and others.

Guy Hodes
Head of Productions

Guy Hodes is a graduate with honors from the Open University, holding a BA in Humanistic Studies and Film Studies, and a graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film & TV School's entrepreneurial producing track.
His short film With Slight Steps, which he directed and produced, was short-listed by BAFTA and has won numerous awards.
Parallel to his studies, Guy worked at LEV, a leading distribution company, where he gained experience in marketing and distribution. In 2017, Guy was invited to be a jury member at the San Sebastian Film Festival.

After graduating Guy worked as a freelancer in various production fields. He achieved positions as a Post-Production Supervisor of feature films and as a Production Manager of documentary films. Guy joined Black Sheep Film Production in 2020
