Michla and her brother Feiv’ke were inseparable before the Holocaust. When Michla learned that Feiv’ke was killed, she moved on to the new state of Israel. The filmmaker, Michla’s granddaughter, investigates what happened to her grandmother’s beloved brother—and is surprised to find that Feiv’ke had become Peter, married a German woman, and spent the rest of his life in a cozy home only a few feet from the concentration camp where he had been imprisoned during the war.
